Beautiful Swan

Acrylic on stretched canvas

Rather than the tale of the ugly duckling, this work reflects the image of the beautiful swan — a living embodiment of Tchaikovsky’s timeless artistic vision.

For me, the swan symbolizes transformation, redemption, the need for divine grace, and the purity that emerges when one's authentic self is revealed. True love frees us from the confines of a false persona, allowing the fragmented aspects of our being to become whole.

As a contemplative observer looking through the window, I am reminded of a ballet unfolding before me—an ethereal performance set against the backdrop of our cherished yet often challenged land.

Inkosikazi yam Africa — my Lady Africa.

A dance of beauty, resilience, and transformation.

Inspired by Tchaikovsky (7 May 1840 – 6 November 1893), Russia.
