Jeanne Marais is a dynamic, self-taught artist whose creative journey began in a nurturing childhood where her natural talent was encouraged to flourish. Today, her work reflects a boundless versatility and a deep passion for visual storytelling.

Renowned for her exclusive and distinctive female figure studies, Jeanne’s artistry extends seamlessly into a variety of themes. Her vibrant landscapes and cityscapes are brought to life through a masterful use of colour, rich texture, and dramatic intensity. For over 13 years, she has worked predominantly in oils, skillfully employing both brush and palette knife to create expressive, textured compositions.

Her work has been showcased in three successful solo exhibitions (2010, 2012, and 2015) and is represented in galleries throughout Pretoria, Hartebeespoort, Clarens, and beyond. Jeanne’s art is also held in private collections internationally, a testament to its enduring appeal.

Based in Centurion, South Africa, Jeanne lives with her husband, Louis, and their two daughters. As she puts it, “The real advantage of my career as an artist is being in the fortunate position to do what I love for a living.” This passion is evident in every piece she creates, enriching spaces and lives with each expressive stroke.
