Antonia Velissoriou Moshonas was born in Greece and first arrived in South Africa at the tender age of 18.
Anotonia tells her life story:
I have lived here ever since – I love this country and all the natural beauty it has to offer. I initially started painting simply as a hobby and i’m completely self-taught. In 2000 I decided to dedicate all my time to my art and started painting full-time. I have since tried my hand at various styles and themes to explore beyond what I was used to doing. I’m currently working on various West Coast and Namaqualand scenes, portraying the unique beauty of this unspoilt region.

I visited the Namaqualand district many years ago and it made an immense impression on me, leaving me truly inspired and painting in God’s garden. I have been privileged to have my work exhibited at various galleries around Cape Town and the West Coast. I also take part in exhibitions at Kirstenbosch Gardens hosted by Cape Fine Art Collective.
