Art has always been woven into married Artist couple Clem and Judy’s lives — from high school art classes for Judy to Clem’s  career in cosmetic and restorative dental technology where crafting a beautiful smile became its own form of art.
After making Langebaan our home, we took a sabbatical about four years ago, driving our trusty truck deep into Africa. Along the way, we gathered endless stories, met unforgettable people, and filled notebooks and memory cards with sketches and picks of striking scenes, faces, animals, and places — just for fun at first, until we realised something bigger was happening. We were rediscovering our artistic voices.
Back in Langebaan, Judy — inspired by her love of intricate detail and the golden elegance of Gustav Klimt — began creating unique pieces on canvas and furniture. Each artwork is one-of-a-kind, layered with emotion and texture, and has been met with incredible feedback and enthusiasm.
Clem, with his bold, playful energy, found his niche in pop art — a vibrant mix of colour, irony, and fine art precision. His work often captures humour, contrast, and reflection, inviting viewers to see the world from a new angle. Beyond painting, Clem continues to explore and refine the visual arts through study, experimentation, and innovation.
As Pablo Picasso once said, “Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.”
Each of our works is indeed a diary — filled with memories, laughter, tears, and joy. Every piece tells a story, and we love sharing these with others.
Each creation we make has its own personality and often personal message.
